LINEN GARMENT CARE - THE SUSTAINABLE WAY

spcarelabel.JPG

If you look after your clothes they will last longer so be kind to them! Linen is pretty simple to care for as it is resistant to dirt and stains, has no lint or piling, and can be dry-cleaned, machine-washed or steamed. Our garments are designed to just be air dried on the washing line. We suggest you follow the care label and our instructions below once you take your Sunday Projects garment home.

Below are some very easy (almost to the point of being lazy) things you can do to help keep the carbon footprint of your clothes low:

1.     Wash only when they are dirty - its not lazy, its eco-friendly to hang your clothes back up in your closet until they really do need a wash.

2.     Hang or lie your clothes flat to dry - it is worth noting that linen wrinkles very easily, which we think adds to its special charm ;-) but if it bothers you, or if you want to look particularly sharp, your linen garment can easily be ironed or steamed. Avoid the nasty dry cleaning chemicals when you can.

3.     Keep it cool - wash on as low a temperature as possible, and always wait until your washing machine is full before giving it a spin.
